Medium format slide

From £1.65

Medium format film

Larger slide mounted film measuring 70mm x 70mm with a viewable area of 60m x 60mm is also scanned with the Medium Format Scanning service

Medium format films vary in size from 6 x 4.5 up to 6 x 12.

Single frames or strips of up to three frames can be scanned, though longer frames or rolls will have to be cut prior to scanning.

Film strip sizes are generally 6 x 4.5cm, 6 x 6cm, 6 x 7cm, 6 x 8cm, 6 x 9cm and 6 x 12cm.

127 "Super Slides" have the same frame size (50mm x 50mm) as standard 35mm slides, but the viewable area is much larger at 38mm x 38mm. Because of the larger aperture these slides have to be scanned as medium format images in order to capture the whole image.
